This just in: the NRA is officially suing Governor Andrew Cuomo and the State of New York over “discrimination.”
Yes, you read that correctly. The NRA is claiming that, because Cuomo encouraged NY business to cut ties with the rifle association, they have lost “tens of millions of dollars” and are at risk of being “unable to exist… or pursue its advocacy mission”
*Cue the world’s tiniest violin*
Obviously, Cuomo had the BEST response and said,
“New York will not be intimidated by the NRA’s frivolous lawsuit to advance its dangerous gun-peddling agenda. If I could have put the NRA out of business, I would have done it 20 years ago.”
He added,
“If the NRA goes bankrupt because of the State of New York, they’ll be in my thoughts and prayers. I’ll see you in court.”
New York has ready filed a motion to dismiss the case citing that the state’s actions did not impede on the NRA’s constitutional protections.
