At long last, one-piece swimsuits are back on trend.
And no, we’re not talking about monokinis, we’re talking full-coverage, flattering but sexy one-piece swimsuits. Hallelujah!
But don’t worry — these aren’t your mother’s one-pieces. Current styles include beautiful floral prints, bow straps, bustier tops, and bandeau necklines.
One-pieces are so on trend that designer fashion retailer FWRD even featured Kendall Jenner in its summer campaign rocking two swimsuits in the style, one by Saint Laurent and another by Tommy Hilfiger.
On top of that, costume designers and stylists are opting for one-pieces for their clients. In the last few months alone, Anne Hathaway wore a gorgeous Camilla floral swimsuit in The Idea of You, Brooke Shields wore a Becca By Rebecca Virtue crochet one piece in Mother of the Bride, and Sabrina Carpenter rocked a Norma Kamali halter swimsuit in her “Espresso” music video (above). Needless to say, all the pieces have been selling like crazy.
