The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills co-stars Crystal Kung Minkoff and Sutton Stracke are definitely struggling to see eye-to-eye this season.

The two housewives got into a heated discussion early in season 11 when Sutton declared that she “didn’t see color.” But things really took a turn for the worse when Sutton walked in on Crystal while she was changing clothes in Lake Tahoe.

Sutton thought the incident was no big deal but Crystal felt incredibly uncomfortable and called the whole thing “violating” — a word that instantly created tension within the rest of the group.

But now that Crystal has had a chance to watch the interaction on screen, she feels bad for how it all went down.

Speaking with Andy Cohen on WWHL, she said,

“It’s hard to watch and I feel awful for so many reasons. I feel awful for Sutton because I feel like she got mixed up with my issues. I feel awful watching myself, a woman struggling with body dysmorphia and an eating disorder.”

When asked specifically about the use of the word “violating,” Crystal definitely regretted how her word choice impacted Sutton. She said,

“I mean, I regret it to see her reaction to it. Again, it was just indicative of how I was feeling about my disorder and so she just got mixed up into it. So yeah, there’s a lot of regret on that.”

Crystal definitely received a lot of flack from her co-stars for use of the word “violating” and they attacked her for what they considered to be making a big deal out of nothing. But it’s clear that Crystal has some very personal body issues that led to her strong reaction.

She explained,

“That’s why I wanted to tell the girls about my eating disorder because I wanted them to know that I was still in the process. So it’s a work in progress.”

Unfortunately, her fellow housewives have not been nearly as compassionate as they should be. Instead of trying to understand why Crystal was so triggered when Sutton walked in on her naked (and made that very strange comment), they reprimanded her for her feelings. They honed in on the word “violating” and could see nothing else. They didn’t seem to see the connection between Crystal’s reaction and her history of eating disorders and body dysmorphia.

Unfortunately, it looks like the situation will not be resolved anytime soon. And although Crystal was able to apologize for her part in the incident, Sutton has not returned the courtesy.
