Real Housewives of New York star Luann de Lesseps is very adamant that she did not slap her new husband Tom.
According to Page Six reports, Luann and Tom were spotted fighting in a restaurant and that she subsequently slapped him in the face. They also claim that her marriage of seven months is “hanging in the balance.” According to Luann herself, this is so not true. She went on Andy Cohen’s Watch What Happens Live! to defend herself and tell the real story. She said,
“Oh my god, that’s so not right. I did not slap him. We have a very passionate love affair going.”
She added,
“It’s gossip, come on. I take his face in a very loving way, and people took it as a slap.”
She did contend that the two had a fight in the restaurant but the slap in question never occurred.
“We never go to bed angry but when we do, when we wake up, we make up. That’s the best part.”
You’ll remember that all of her fellow housewives were very concerned about Luann and even tried to stage an intervention in the hopes of getting her to call off the engagement. The two ended up getting married anyways and Dorinda was the only housewife invited. Sorry ladies!
This is Luann’s second marriage. Her first marriage to Alexandre de Lesseps, making her a Countess, ended with two children and a divorce seven years ago after he was caught cheating.
