'Riverdale' Star Hayley Law's Ex Told Her She'd Never Be Successful

Hayley Law is pretty much ruling life right now — she’s Val, aka a Pussycat on Riverdale and now she’s starring on Netflix’s new show Altered Carbon.

But apparently, her ex-boyfriend had zero faith in her and made sure she knew it. She told Covetuer,

“My ex-boyfriend told me that I was going to never be successful. He was like, ‘It’s not that I don’t want you to be, I just know you’re never going to be.’”

Um, wtf. But the worst part is that Hayley had little confidence in herself as well.

“I thought, I’d like to be an actor, but I just didn’t think I could do it. I genuinely was like, ‘There’s no way I can learn dialogue. My memory isn’t good enough.'”

And even though all these awesome things have happened to her, she’s still reluctant to accept it.

“I feel like when good things are happening, it’s not allowed to happen or something. So I’m like, ‘This is good, but I’m just going to pretend it’s not happening because I’m scared of it not happening.’ But I’m really thankful. If I wasn’t doing this, I honestly have no idea what the hell I would be doing.”

In addition to Riverdale and Altered Carbon, she’s teaming up with 13 Reasons Why star Katherine Langford for a new film called Spontaneous. And even though she’s obviously super busy these days, I hope she returns to Riverdale to sing with the Pussycats.
