Selling Sunset star Chrishell Stause is officially living her best queer life and we are so here for it!
After officially announcing her relationship with nonbinary musician G Flip (they/them) during the Selling Sunset season 5 reunion, Chrishell has taken to social media to address the range of fan reactions to her new partnership.
In an Instagram video she posted earlier this week, Chrishell explained,
“Obviously, like I said on the show, you don’t get to choose when you come into someone’s life.”
She continued,
“I know that some of you won’t understand this or agree with this, but for me, it is about the person, it is about their heart. And yes, there is that part of you that’s what you’re attracted to. But for me, I am attracted to that masculine energy and I don’t really care what the physical form is. And with G, they do identify as both sides of male/female. And that’s one of those things that I personally find such a beautiful mix and that’s probably why we did connect on such a deep level so quickly.”

She also assured fans that she was still the same person that she’s always been and that “not a lot has changed.”
As Chrishell mentioned, reactions to her new relationship have ranged from congratulatory to confused to worried she’s going through a mid-life crisis to straight-up homophobic.
Chrishell has historically been in exclusively heterosexual relationships so many fans were understandably shocked to find out Chrishell was dating someone who identifies as nonbinary.
On top of that, many were confused by the large age gap (Chrishell is 40 and G Flip is 27) and the vast lifestyle differences, especially since Chrishell and her previous boyfriend Jason Oppenheim broke up over her desire to settle down and start a family.
Chrishell actually took the time to discuss that as well and explained,
“In this current situation with G, it’s one of those things that yes, I wish we are in the same stage of life and wanted the same things. But that doesn’t diminish the deep connection that we have made and the way that they have opened my eyes to what that future could look like and I don’t know what that will end up looking like. But I do feel I will always attribute the fact that I have so many more options and things in my future.”
In fact, Chrishell even mentioned the idea of adoption during the Selling Sunset reunion, something that she had never explored publicly before.

Finally, Chrishell addressed fan concerns over what this all meant for her previous relationship with Jason and said,
“You know, as much as I wish what I wanted in my last relationship aligned the same things it didn’t and that’s ok. That doesn’t diminish how much love we had for each other, Jason and I, and how much we genuinely want each other to be happy.”
She added that Jason is currently “living his best life” and implied that he is dating as well.
At the end of the day, she just wants fans to know that she truly is happy in her relationship with G Flip. She said,
“Right now I’m enjoying life. I’m really happy. You don’t have to be worried about me, guys! I hope, if this is all confusing to you, stick around and keep an open mind. And I think that’s a beautiful thing. If you don’t, I understand that too. But I’m happy and I hope you are all as well.”
Chrishell and G Flip first met when she was tapped to star in G’s music video for their song “Get Me Outta Here.”
Fans believe their relationship officially took off in February/March of this year based on their Instagram activity. The pair were then spotted holding hands in Denver in early May and making out in West Hollywood soon after. Sources also claim that Chrishell and G Flip have officially moved in together as of May 7, 2022.
