Twitter has been a great source for some poignant and comical critiques of the new administration. People venting their frustrations in 140 characters or less is a beautiful thing. But how far is too far when it comes to social media comments about the Trump family?
Well, one comment has an SNL writer suspended from the show indefinitely. During last Friday’s inauguration, writer Katie Rich posted: ‘“Barron will be this country’s first homeschool shooter”.
Unsurprisingly, the tweet received widespread backlash from Trump supporters and opponents alike, including Chelsea Clinton. Rich has since deleted the tweet, deactivated/reactivated her account, and apologized.
I sincerely apologize for the insensitive tweet. I deeply regret my actions & offensive words. It was inexcusable & I’m so sorry.

The general consensus seems to be that the adults of the Trump family are fair game for harsh online criticism, but 10 year-old Barron is off-limits.
