So by now, you’ve probably watched Taylor Swift’s “Delicate” music video a million times, right?
And you probably also heard that Swifty’s music video resembles the Kenzo perfume ad a little too much. But have you seen the comparison photos? Honestly, they’re a little hard to argue with. Not only is the concept of “Delicate” nearly identical to that of the Kenzo ad (a woman who finds herself to be invisible breaks out into dance), but the dance moves themselves are particularly similar. Check out a few I happened to snag below…
The Dramatic Posing

The Squats

The Splits
The Crazy Faces
The Ballet Dancing
This isn’t the first time Taylor has been accused of finding “inspiration” from another artist. Her recent video for “Reputation” had a few dance moves that resembled those in Beyonce’s “Lemonade.” She’s also been sued for allegedly stealing some lyrics to “Shake it Off” (jury is still out on that one).
Nowadays, it’s been hard not to get accused of stealing from another artist one way or another. Even her bestie Ed Sheeran has been sued twice for mimicking music from other artists (he settled both times). But how do you not find inspiration from your fellow artists?
Considering Taylor brought her own charm and personality to the video, I think it’s ok if she ripped off Kenzo a little. What can I say? The girl still totally rocked it.
