In a time when pretty much every outfit that Taylor Swift wears go viral, each fashion choice she makes is major.

So when Taylor decides to wear something by a small, independent fashion designer, it’s pretty much life-changing for them.

At the AFC Championship game between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday, Taylor Swift was decked out in jewelry, including an Eb and Co. #87 Kansas City Chiefs Jersey Ring and a Wove Custom TNT Diamond Friendship Bracelet.

Both brands were completely shocked — and thrilled! — to see Taylor wearing their jewelry.

Kansas City-based shop Eb and Co. posted a photo of Taylor wearing their ring to Instagram with the caption,

“That moment when your dreams come true.”

They later posted again to Instagram, expressing their joy over the moment, writing,

“Screaming, crying, perfect storm.”

The brand Wove was equally excited to see Taylor wearing their jewelry. Wove’s CEO Simone Kendle posted a video to Instagram saying,

“I just cannot express how exciting something like this is for a small brand like ours. Wove is a startup, we’re a baby, we’re still trying to get our name out there in the world. And to have an insane moment with Taylor celebrating her love with Travis at this insane game really is just the most incredible moment a brand could ask for.”

Simone added that the brand had been getting a barrage of media requests for interviews and press ever since Taylor was spotted wearing their bracelet.

This isn’t the first time Taylor has shown a spotlight on a small business. Earlier this year, the singer wore a green velvet mini dress by Scottish clothing brand Little Lies and the internet went absolutely insane.

The designer Jade Robinson told The Times,

“I was just completely gobsmacked at first. We had no idea she even had the dress.”

The brand called it a “pinch me moment” on Instagram.

The dress sold out instantly (and is still sold out). Robinson plans to make a few hundred more available but will ultimately keep production limited.

We all know the power that Taylor has when she endorses something. In September 2023, she posted a brief message to her fans on Instagram encouraging them to vote, resulting in over 35,000 new voter registrations.

Considering the extent of her influence (and the scrutiny over every single decision she makes), her choice to wear and promote small designers is an incredible way to use her platform.
