Teen Wolf star Tyler Posey is joining the third season of Scream, the television reboot of the 1996 cult horror, as a series regular!
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Tyler will play Shane, a high school dropout. Shane is a “drug dealer and party promoter who is always hustling in order to make money.”
So, quite the opposite of Scott McCall.
And MTV won’t be the only familiar part of Tyler’s new project; Scream is moving its production location from Los Angeles to Atlanta, where Teen Wolf shot its first two seasons. (I apologize for bringing up TW season one, let’s move on.)
Tyler joins Scream cast Keke Palmer, RJ Cyler and…Tyga. Whatever works, MTV. We’re just glad to have Tyler for another year!
Scream returns March 2018. In the meantime, Tyler will be enjoying some much-needed R&R since Teen Wolf officially said goodbye on Sunday. And by the sound of it, Tyler was ready for the series to come to an end. He recently told EW,
“I feel like we kind of said goodbye to the characters a little while ago and so the last day was really just for us and was really nostalgic.”
On to bigger and better, I guess!
