‘Tis the year for reboots and revivals it seems. Fitting with the pattern, Disney Channel officially ordered the That’s So Raven spinoff and announced the reboot’s cast.

Entitled Raven’s Home, the series will focus on Raven’s title character, and Anneliese Van Der Pol’s character Chelsea Daniels.

The two friends, newly divorced mothers, are now living under one roof. We can only imagine the hijinks that will ensue.

Additionally, Deadline reports,

“When one of Raven’s kids begins to show signs that they have inherited her trait of catching glimpses of the future, the already hectic household gets turned upside down, keeping even Raven on her toes.”

Did you predict this was coming?

Deadline also reports that the rest of the cast comprises of Issac Brown (Black-ishBeing Mary Jane) as Raven’s 11-year-old twins Booker and Nia, Jason Maybaum (Superstore) as Chelsea’s nine-year-old son Levi, and Sky Katz (America’s Got Talent) as Nia’s best friend Tess.

Raven left her co-host spot on The View to produce and star in the new Disney series, and we are excited to see her revive the role. Hopefully, the reboot does the original show justice but based on how the Gilmore Girls and Fuller House revivals went, we can’t say we are not nervous.

Regardless of the revival’s success, nothing can take away from the fact that That’s So Raven was a groundbreaking series. It was the first Disney Channel show to premiere with over 3 million viewers, and Raven became the first African-American woman to have her name in a comedy series title. The series still sees big viewership numbers in its midnight reruns.
