After even more racist rumors and pictures have come up about The Bachelor contestant Rachael Kirkconnell, Matt James has decided to speak out.
Speaking with ET, Matt defended Rachael and said,
“Rumors are dark and nasty and can ruin people’s lives. So I would give people the benefit of the doubt, and hopefully, she will have her time to speak on that.”
He added,
“There’s a lot of stuff going around about the women that were involved in the show. I would just give them a chance to kind of have their piece, whether that is someone who was gone night one or someone who went home last night. Everyone has a story, and I would just be receptive to that.”
Matt’s comments come after numerous rumors about Rachael’s past have surfaced on social media. Many fans have screenshotted pictures that Rachael has “liked” on Instagram of her friends wearing MAGA hats and posing in front of confederate flags.
On top of that, former high school classmates claimed that Rachael and her friends bullied her for going out with Black guys.
One TikTok user even took the time to compile all the circumstantial evidence against Rachael, including receipts concerning her parents’ own Trump-loving, racist activity.
Rachael has since released a statement in response to the backlash on her Instagram account. You can read it here.
