There’s a lot to love about The Bachelorette star Tyler Cameron.
Not only is he ridiculously good-looking and charming, but he knows exactly how to treat a woman. He more than proved that during his appearance on Hannah Brown’s season of the show back in 2019.
Fans were pretty much in love with Tyler from the first moment he graced our screens but it was the overnight episode that really endeared him to America. When Hannah said she wanted to wait to have sex with him, he immediately respected her decision.
But when fans and the media started praising him for his actions, Tyler was sad to see just how low society’s standards were. In an interview with Us Weekly, he said,
“I was being praised for honestly what I think is the bare minimum, you know? There’s articles written about me, ‘Tyler Cameron Gives Masterclass on Consent’ and [calling me a] ‘feminist icon’ and all this stuff. I’m like, all I did was respect a woman.”
He continued,
“Like no is no, you know? And like, if she wants to go do something, she should go and do it.”
It was this reaction from fans that inspired Tyler to write his new book You Deserve Better. He explained,
“I realized, like, there’s something wrong with our culture right now if this is what is being praised. This should be the norm. That’s kind of what really motivated me to write this book and kind of the core of this book.”
As for what else you can expect from the book, Bachelor Nation will be excited to find that Tyler plans to address his on-again-off-again relationship with Hannah B.
But if you’re thinking that Tyler is going to give us some juicy gossip, think again. He said,
“There’s nothing for her to be worried or concerned about. I have no bad things to say about her, so it’s all good. She taught me a lot.”
He added,
“I haven’t seen her in a while, but we’re still friends. We’re still cool.”
Tyler is currently thought to be dating model Camila Kendra. The couple was first spotted together in January 2021 and has since been seen holding hands around NYC. Tyler and Camila even spent Mother’s Day weekend up at Martha Stewart’s farmhouse in Bedford, New York.
The pair also spent Memorial Day weekend with reunited couple Matt James and Rachael Kirkconnell. Although many have been skeptical about Matt and Rachael’s relationship given their history, Tyler has been nothing but supportive. He recently said,
“I think they’re great for each other. They seem like they’re spending a lot of time together, getting comfortable with each other and they’ve come a long way. So if they’re happy, I’m happy.”
