After a long, long wait, the Barbie movie has finally dropped in theaters! And if the audience score on Rotten Tomatoes is correct (currently 89%), then it’s well worth the hype!
The movie follows Barbie (Margot Robbie) as she travels from Barbie Land to the Real World, looking absolutely perfect every step of the way.
According to the film’s costume designer Jacqueline Durran, “clothes are [Barbie’s] form of expression,” so her wardrobe goes on just as big of a journey as she does.
Jacqueline told Vogue,
“One aspect of the film is self-discovery — all of the Barbies, but particularly Margot’s Barbie, have a journey to go on, and we were able to choose elements of Barbie fashion that were appropriate for those scenes that also gave a subtle nod to her internal journey.”
Nearly every outfit in the film was designed and created by Jacqueline and her team, with a few pieces pulled from Chanel (Margot was named a brand ambassador for the fashion house in 2018).
Unfortunately for viewers, that means they can’t get their hands on Barbie’s actual outfits from the movie. But, there are ways that they can recreate the looks. Designers on Etsy have already created dupes if you’re looking to go that route. Or, you can check out some of our more refined picks below to help you get the look without feeling like you’re dressing up for Halloween.

Barbie’s Pink Gingham Look

This is definitely one of Barbie’s most quintessential looks from Barbie Land! The pink gingham wrap dress is utterly adorable and we love the pairing of the oversized pink seashell jewelry!
For a recreation, we love this Reformation Pink Gingham Linen Top and matching Reformation Pink Gingham Mini Skirt (aptly named the “Margot Skirt”). Top off the look with a POPORCELAIN Seashell Necklace and a pair of Aldo Pink Pointed Toe Pumps.
Want an exact dupe? You can get the dress on Etsy here and the seashell necklace here.
Barbie’s Now-Iconic Pink Pom Pumps

This image of Margot’s feet is pretty much iconic at this point. After all, who hasn’t obsessed over how Margot was able to maintain that perfect arch?
Personally, we’re more interested in the super cute shoes, which you can actually get for yourself — a pair of Gina Baby Pink Satin Pom Open Toe Crystal Heel Pumps. Or, get a more affordable version below.
Barbie’s Nautical Outfits

The first of Barbie’s beachwear looks, this white and blue halter mini dress is definitely a stand-out in the film. Get the look IRL with this Veronica Beard White and Blue Midi Dress and a pair of Schutz White Pointed Toe Pumps.

After discovering her feet had gone flat (gasp!), Barbie went for a costume change, opting for a white and blue stripe halter crop top. We think this My Beachy Side Blue/White Stripe Crochet Halter Top is the perfect dupe.

Barbie’s blue oversized anchor earrings may be a bit much for the real world, but these Adiba the Heart Gold Anchor Drop Earrings are the perfect way to elevate the look.
Rather get an exact dupe? Here’s a pair on Etsy that will fit the bill.
Barbie’s 50s-Inspired Blue Shirt Dress

We’re absolutely loving this blue button-down shirt dress with a peter pan collar! To recreate the look, check out this JECEIKA Blue Long Sleeve Midi Dress. Complete the look an Anthropologie White Satin Hair Bow Barrette.
Barbie’s Pink Double-Breasted Short Sleeve Blazer

On her way out of Barbie Land, Barbie rocks an adorable pink puff sleeve double-breasted crop blazer with a wool beret to match. Recreate the look with an Express Light Pink Short Sleeve Double Breasted Crop Blazer, a Ganni Pink Knit Beret, and PearLustre By Imperial Pearl Double Drop Earrings.
Barbie’s Pink Western Cowgirl Look

Who can forget Barbie’s incredible hot pink western vest and flare pants set?! You can get a recreation of the look on Etsy here.
Want to avoid looking too “costume-y”? Opt for this SELMACILEK Hot Pink Linen Vest and matching SELMACILEK Hot Pink Wide Leg Cargo Pants instead.

Barbie topped off her cowgirl look with a pair of crystal fringe earrings (for a bit of glam, obviously!). We love this pair of Shashi Crystal Drop Earrings as an affordable dupe.
