As the first thing you put on in the morning, undergarments are the most important part of any outfit. They can make you feel sexy, powerful, and confident, regardless of what clothes you layer on top.
Below, check out the biggest lingerie trends you need to know about in 2023.
Mesh & Unlined

Mesh has been a huge trend in clothing for the last year with mesh tops, dresses, and inserts taking over. But mesh has also found its way into lingerie with many opting for mesh and unlined bras and underwear for a lightweight, more natural feel.
Mesh bras, in particular, are a natural transition from the wireless, comfy bralettes we all wore during COVID lockdown as they still give you that free feeling while adding a bit of lift.
That said, mesh and unlined bras aren’t the most suitable bra for *every* occasion but they definitely have a place in our wardrobes.
Underwear As Outerwear

We’ve seen over the last year or so as bra tops have increased substantially in popularity but it seems now that our panties want a little attention too!
The “underwear as pants” trend has become particularly popular among celebrities like Kendall Jenner and Hailey Bieber, who either opt for boyshorts as pants themselves or go for bikini underwear layered under black opaque tights for a little more sex appeal.
Balconette Bras

A balconette bra provides less coverage than a classic demi or t-shirt bra, but they suit all breast shapes and are a perfect style if you have fuller breasts. Balconette bras can be made from lace or solid fabric; they are also available as push-up bras or more rounded shape bras.
A balconette bra is not the same as lingerie; it offers more coverage and comfort, but as the name suggests, the best balconette bras have classy lingerie styles to combine beauty with comfort. A balconette bra lifts from the bottom and has straps that move to the center of the cup.
Denim

Denim-on-denim has made a comeback in a *big* way and that includes our lingerie! Denim bras and bra tops were spotted at a number of runway shows this season including Givenchy, Blumarine, and PatBo.
Denim bras are best worn as a top but that doesn’t mean they couldn’t be worn under sweaters or jackets as well.
Corsets & Bustiers

If you thought corsets were going away anytime soon, think again! Corsets and bustiers are still very much in style, whether worn as a top or as an undergarment.
As an added layer of fun, vintage corsets are particularly en vogue with many celebrities and Hollywood costume designers opting for designer pieces from the 90s instead of newer styles.
Color

Dopamine dressing has been extended to our undergarments! Bras and panties in fun, bright colors like royal blue and fuschia are a great way to add a pop of color into your underwear drawer.
Not ready to go that bold? Opt for the “new neutrals” like burgundy, navy, and olive green to mix things up while keeping things classic.
