‘This is Us’ is (Almost) Ready to Reveal Jack’s Death

The cause of Jack’s death has become quite a focal point for many This is Us fans. Mainly, because it seems so mysterious! But the show is just about ready to tell you what went down.

Speaking at a panel at the ArcLight Hollywood, the creator Dan Fogelman said,

“The first episode of the season holds not all the answers but a huge piece of the puzzle.”

He also joked that “never in a million years expected that this chaos about Jack’s death would still be going on at this point.”

He also opened up about the possibility of Kate and Toby getting married soon, to which he said,

“I sort of don’t want to rush in — I think that Toby and Kate have a long way to go to really get to know each other, and to know themselves. They don’t just want to step into a marriage.”

The cast was also in attendance and joked about a few random tidbits. On Milo Ventimiglia’s naked butt scene in the pilot, Mandy Moore said,

“I’m just glad for once it was a man and it wasn’t the woman.”

And Sterling L. Brown reminisced about the emotional deathbed scene with William and said,

“They’re trying to destroy me. they’re trying to suck every tear out of my body.”

This is Us airs on NBC on Tuesdays.
