This is seriously the best news I’ve heard all day. The newest monkey born at the Columbus Zoo has been named after the one and only Jax Taylor from Vanderpump Rules.
Yes, you read that correctly: Jax Taylor officially has a namesake monkey. And yes, they definitely did it on purpose.
The zoo recently took to their Facebook page to post pictures of little Jax, a 10-week-old vervet monkey. The zoo wrote,
“Today, Jax is 10 weeks old! You can usually find Jax hanging off of his mom Sassie, learning to navigate his new surroundings by jumping on logs, climbing trees, or climbing his big brother, Junior!”
Wait a second… Sassie? Any chance they meant to write “Stassi“?
Jax looks pretty sweet, which is more than I can say for the real Jax Taylor.
Jax recently proposed to longtime girlfriend Brittany Cartwright. Although the two have been through a lot together including a break-up and a cheating scandal (yes, Jax officially did cheat on Brittany), the couple seems very happy together.
Jax supposedly proposed at the beginning of season 7, which will air later this year. Brittany wrote on Instagram,
“What a way to start our summer and season 7!! I am so happy, so in love, and so beyond excited for this next chapter of our lives! I can’t wait for all of you to see how he proposed! I am the happiest girl ever right now.”
