Here comes Gal Gadot, acting in true Wonder Woman style and bringing us some news this week that isn’t emotionally draining.
Gal is in talks to star in a post-WWII film titled Ruins, a Nazi revenge thriller from Assassin’s Creed director Justin Kurzel.
An Assassin’s Creed-ish film with a female lead who is also Gal Gadot? Praise be. After Wonder Woman showed us what Gal can do physically and emotionally on screen, we are more than here for this.
According to Deadline,
“Ruin is in the vein of Inglorious Basterds and Fury, a gritty period revenge-thriller. A nameless ex-Nazi captain navigates the ruins of post-WWII Germany. Determined to atone for his crimes during the war, he hunts down the surviving members of his former SS Death Squad.”
Please, please don’t screw this up and push Gal aside as the reserved love interest whose only purpose is to further the male lead’s storyline and then kiss him when he’s horny after a long day of threatening various other white men and making ominous phone calls I don’t understand.
Give us another badass female warrior. We needed 100, like, yesterday.
